Brahmastra: Alia Bhatt- Ranbir Kapoor’s Film Footage Sent To London-Based Studio For Graphics, VFX Work Amid Lockdown

As per a report, Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji has sent the footage of Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor starrer to London studio to handle the special effects. To avoid the risk of the film being leaked, a five-member team has been handpicked

Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra is one of the most- anticipated films of 2020, and it has been in the making for more than two years. After the film’s release being postponed a lot of times, it is finally scheduled to release on December 4. The fantasy drama has been filmed in several beautiful places including Bulgaria, London, Varanasi, Mumbai among others, and fans cannot wait to find out what the film has to offer.  As per reports, the film’s final 2-day schedule was disrupted due to the nationwide lockdown, however, director Ayan Mukerji is making sure the work goes on, even amid lockdown.

According to Mid-Day, Ayan Mukerji has sent a large portion of the footage of Brahmastra to a London-based studio, which has been roped in to handle the VFX of the film. A source revealed that the team in London will be working on special effects in this lockdown period and to avoid the risk of the film being leaked, a five-member team has been handpicked. The source told Mid-Day, “A large portion of the footage has been sent to the London team so that it can begin working on the visual effects in this period.”

“Aware that outsourcing the job and sharing the content can increase the risk of the film being leaked, Ayan wanted only a core team of experts working on it. The director handpicked a five-member team who are the only people in possession of the footage,” the insider added.



In other news, there had been rumours lately about the cast of Brahmastra taking a pay cut due to Coronavirus lockdown. However, producer Karan Johar clarified about it, and tweeted, “My hugest request to my media friends not to reach any assumptions on our fraternityfilms...these are challenging times for the business and false news only makes the situation worse!
